Assoc. Prof. Ponsit Sathapondecha, Ph.D.
Lecturer and principal investigator
He was born in Bangkok. He finished at Debsirin school, Bangkok before graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in Biology with 2nd honor class at Chulalongkorn University. Then, he finished his Master’s and Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering at the Institute of Biosciences, Mahidol University. Since 2016 until now, he has been a lecturer at the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University.

Prasert Yodsawat, Ph.D. Student
He finished his BSc. (Biotechnology) and M.Sc. (Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics) from the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, PSU. He is a bioinformatician who likes to explore novel strategies for bioinformatics in many aspects. Now, his project focuses on the interaction of microbiome and abiotic conditions for coffee plantation and production as well as the development of a friendly program for metatranscriptome analysis.
Therissara Klahan, M.Sc. Student
She finished her BSc. (Biotechnology) from the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, PSU. She worked as a scientist at the Faculty of Medicine, PSU, and Medical Technology Service Center (Phuket) for 2 years. Now, she is carrying out a project about genome and variant analysis of different Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolations and their virulent phenotype in white shrimp and is financially supported by a Research Assistant Scholarship from the Faculty of Science, PSU.
Pimpakan Thongsen, M.Sc. Student
Kaem is a master student in a Higher Education for Industry (Hi-Fi) consortium, associating in the coffee fermentation process. She graduated with B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Prince of Songkla University. Ouside the lab, she enjoys music and tasting coffee.

She finished her B.Sc. Biotechnology from Faculty of Science, PSU. Now, her work is about performing the assessment of indigenous durian for drought-tolerant rootstock production, and shrimp feeding. She is a Thai tea lover. She likes taking photography and listening to music.
